Day Trip to the Veneto – Villa La Rotonda & Vicenza
The South Tyrolean Castle Institute undertook a culturally rewarding excursion to the Veneto region. The program included a visit to the world-famous Villa La Rotonda, a masterpiece by the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Participants were deeply impressed by the architecture and harmonious design of the building.
A guided walk through the elegant city of Vicenza offered further insights into Palladian architecture and the historical significance of the city. Additionally, the group had the opportunity to visit the Teatro Olimpico – an architectural gem whose illusionistic stage design ranks it among the most important theaters of the Renaissance.
